Academy Rules and Dress Code
Academy Rules
- Hair must be secured neatly in a bun with a hair net. Short hair must be pulled back neatly off the face.
- Dancers without ballet shoes or uniform, or with improper hair, will be asked to sit and observe.
- No jewelry except stud earrings. No colored fingernail polish allowed in class.
- No halter tops, two-toned velvet, or multi-strapped leotards may be worn in class.Classical style leotards in class only.
- Be punctual to class. No students will be admitted to class after the first ten minutes. Late students may only observe and complete an observation form.
- Injured dancers are expected to come and observe the class. An observation form must be completed and given to the teacher at the end of class.
Dress Code
The following dress code and code of conduct apply to all Classical Ballet Academy youth students and Classical Ballet Theatre company members. Adult students are welcome to dress comfortably as they deem appropriate.
Lower Division: Ladies
Light blue tank or camisole leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers.
Upper Division: Ladies
Navy blue simple classical style leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers and pink pointe shoes.
Lower Division: Gentlemen
White t-shirt, black shorts, black leather ballet slippers.
Upper Division: Gentlemen
White scoop neck long sleeve leotard, black tights, black leather ballet slippers.
Jazz & Modern
Black footless tights over blue leotard, black jazz shoes (Jazz) or bare feet (Modern).
